The Indiana Harbor Belt participated in the celebration of America's Bicentennial by repainting and renumbering NW2 8876 into IHB 1976.  The unit featured white paint with red and blue lightning stripes, a nod to the original Harbor paint scheme and New York Central influence on the railroad.  The Harbor Bicentennial unit is seen with a fellow NW2 westbound at Dolton in December of 1976.
