In May of 1980, a pair of Missouri Pacific U-Boats bracket a former Rock Island GP38-2 outside of the Yard Center enginehouse in Dolton.  Until MoPac was taken over by the Union Pacific in 1984, Yard Center, the former C&EI yard, was split between the L&N and MoPac.
