Approximately 225 diesel locomotives were redecorated to celebrate America's Bicentennial in 1976, but it is rare to find a piece of rolling stock specially painted red, white, and blue.  In this Tom Golden photo from July of 1976, Inland Steel (INLX) 76, an Electro Motive Division SW1, was paired up with a special Mohr bottle car for a company photo opportunity.  Taken from the employee parking lot in East Chicago, this was the closest that Inland's security guards would allow Tom to photograph the setup.
