The Calumet Region is known for its heavy industry background, and one of the "founding fathers" of the steel mills off of the southern shore of Lake Michigan was Youngstown Steel. Youngstown is reknowned for each of its locomotives sporting a "Y" on the unit's nose, and in this August 1976 scene, Youngstown's Bicentennial Baldwin, 805, was spotted just inside company property. Most photos of this unit are taken through the fence from a public street, but Tom was able to take his photos of the unit from inside the fence.
