The EJ&E participated in the Bicentennial celebration through one of its SD38-2s, 668.  Delivered in white from EMD in LaGrange, the six-axle behemoth's blue and red stripes were applied by the J.  It is seen on display at a US Steel open house in Gary in July of 1976.
